We drifted out of Boston to Cambridge, Harvard University, Salem, Hampton Beach, York and Kennebunkport. I loved seeing the sights of Maine, New England: white churches, quaintly painted homes, pretty gardens and white picket fences. It was idyllic and picture postcard perfect.
At Kennebunkport, I ordered the lobster sandwich followed by blueberry pie. It was utterly divine. And in Salem, we sheltered from the rain in a coffee shop which played early Interpol and Arcade Fire. It doesn’t get much better than that.
