‘Sinatra was swinging, all the drunks they were singing.
We kissed on the corner. Then danced through the night’

Fairytale of New York, MacGowan & Jem Finer

I wonder if New York is the most sung about city? My New York soundtrack was Paul Simon’s 1972 song Paranoia Blues. I couldn’t stop singing the line ‘I got the paranoia blues from knockin’ around in New York city.’ I drove my man insane. I wanted to share a little more of New York through the Candy Pop lens. I’ve saved some of my favourite photographs until last, and I promise this is my final post. You can see more of my New York adventure here and here. I’m already looking forward to my next fairytale of New York, until next time..

Lovely pics! Those mirrors are amazing, such a fantastic idea for a display. So lovely to look back and reminisce – those pastel buildings were so pretty xx

I wonder if there were any casualties when the mirrors were hung?!

More NY photos please… I'm toying with the idea of returning for a visit next year as it's been so long since my last.

Such a beautiful fairy tale. I'm wondering about how they hung those mirrors without breaking them and I know I would end up doing so! 🙂

The picture with the chocolate cupcakes is my favorite. My mouth waters at it. 🙂
