‘Magic can be found in stolen moments.’  Francesca Lia Block

Apparently it rained everyday in Oxford last month, how cruel of the weather to be so harsh. It seemed to rain the moment I left the office, and for three consecutive days I walked home in rain so heavy I looked like I’d taken a shower with all my clothes on. [Insert bad language here.]

Despite the rain I’ve managed to take a few shots of the world around me. I’m always on the lookout for pretty things to cheer up the grey days. The rather scrumptious green rainy day mac is by Boden who recently asked me to take part in the importance of being Boden campaign. Being a huge Boden fan I couldn’t have been more honoured, and as luck would have it, it rained the day of the shoot. No fake rain required! I hope you have a fabulous (rain free) week.

Vanessa loving your green 'candy' pops of colour…
I have just read your about page….I used to work at Selfridges during the 90's and often modelled for the personal shopping dept when it was run by Gabriella… I loved her… small world huh?

Lovely pics – that mint handbag is fabulous – on your wish list? And love your Boden shots too – that green mac is gorgeous – and just the thing for this dreadful weather! Loved seeing you pop up looking fabulous in the Boden IG feed 🙂

I love the brass door knocker! And I agree about the weather, it's so demoralising. I think the best way to cope with a grey rainy day is to totally embrace the indoors and create an atmosphere. Light some candles, play some records, get cooking… it works for me even on the glummest of grim days off with no adventures to be had! xxx

Thanks Dulcie, it's raining outside and I'm embracing the indoors as I write!

The only good thing about rain is the requirement of a lovely mac. Your green one looks great on you and I like the way it matches the Laduree shop!

You managed to take so many beautiful photos despite the rain! Your mac is so pretty, it's so classic and I love the colour. Alice and the white rabbit are so sweet 🙂 xx
