I thought it would be fun to share the Easter postcards from my Dad’s Pauli Ebner collection. They are such sweet images full of children, Easter egg hunts, bunnies, chicks and blossom – the simple pleasures of Easter. At last count my Dad had 152 different designs incorporating Christmas, birthdays, holidays and so on. I wonder if anyone else has such a vast collection?
Pauli Ebner was an Austrian painter and illustrator born in Vienna in 1873, her postcards were sold all over Europe in many different languages. My Dad discovered her illustrations at a postcard fair in the 1980s, and he has been collecting ever since. When I win the lottery I will have a museum built to house them, but until that time I’ll just share a few over here!
