SEASIDE WEDDING

Last weekend I attended the gorgeous wedding of an old friend from art college. The invitation provided me with the perfect opportunity to spend a few days in West Sussex, where I grew up. I even managed to catch up with a friend I hadn’t seen since the sixth form 22 years ago!

The wedding was beautiful, a lovely service followed by a homemade afternoon tea prepared by the bride’s family. I can’t even begin to tell you how blissful the scones, cakes and raspberry filled meringues were. So you’ll just have to take my word for it.

There were so many unique and creative details, from forget-me-not seeds as wedding favours, to an abundance of antique lace. The bride decorated the vases and made place card holders from branches, and her father created the cake stands from vintage plates. There was so much to take in I didn’t want to leave!

A huge congratulations to my friends Jeff and Charlotte, who in true celebrity style said you can post photographs of our wedding but not us! I guess Hello magazine won the exclusive.
