May morning is a big deal here in Oxford, in fact it is probably the most celebrated day of the year. It involves everyone cramming onto Magdalen Bridge at dawn to hear the Magdalen College School choir boys sing. The bridge is covered in scaffolding to prevent high-spirited students jumping into the river, following the many all night balls that take place in the city. Pubs and cafes open early, and you can’t move for revellers and morris dancers. It’s a crazy occasion!
Back to A Year of Moments and the theme this month is treasure. My image features the dog from Disney’s Lady and the Tramp, produced by Wade. The dog belonged to my grandma and I remember seeing him when I visited my grandparents as a child. He holds many happy memories and is definitely treasure to me. I teamed him up with one of my favourite floral prints for a bit of happy vintage cheer.

Jeska’s delightful image shows a gathering of things that are dear to her. The acorn necklace was a gift from her husband, the lace was given to her by a friend and the tickets were from a visit to a country garden for her anniversary last year. Lots of pretty things and treasured memories.
If you’d like to join in with this month’s theme simply upload your image to Instagram including the hashtag #ayearofmoments_treasure, along with mine and Jeska’s user names.
Thank you to everyone who took part during April and here are a few of our favourite images. I hope you have a wonderful month.
