May

Relaxation and inspiration :: Lilac in Vienna last month :: Chelsea is full of pretty window boxes :: Shops that have me leaving with a shopping bag are worth noting :: Floral thrifting :: Magazines and cushions :: Blue MondayΒ Breton stripes and booms :: Lilac + purple = happiness :: My small and perfectly formed succulent collection

May

A weekend in ExeterΒ :: My favourite Christmas gift last year was National Portrait Gallery membership,Β I can’t wait to see Audrey :: No trip to Brighton would be complete without saying hi to the Hove beach huts :: Oh I do like to be beside the seaside :: Hello :: Colour cheer in LondonΒ :: Exploring the indie shops of Exeter :: I’ve named these beach huts Candy and Pop :: Stopping to snap these pretty pansies almost made me late for work

May

Beautiful blooms in Exeter :: My current living room display, with bluebells :: I’m happiest when I’m exploring :: My favourite corner :: I photographed the one unpainted house, controversial :: My plant gang for Urban Jungle Bloggers :: Oxford is always looking gorgeous :: Embrace every moment :: Sweet treats at The Hidden Treasure Tea Room

May

A pink house for Wednesday :: Meeting a good friend for lunch :: Looking forward to days on the beach :: Pretty pastels at the Boden press day :: A sweet workshop with a sea view :: When I visit Liberty I always photograph the flowers and play with the Valentino bags :: One of my deer is hanging out on the Boden blog :: Empty :: Bank holiday weekend and turquoise

Between you and me the first mosaic is probably my favourite of 2015. I say that quietly because I’m not one to openly admit to liking my work. I guess each photograph is part of the journey, and I’m always excited about the photographs I’m yet to take.

May was quick. It was also cold and windy. I’ve started to embrace the grey skies, and enjoy the lack of colour. After all there’s a lot of colour to be found in grey, if you look hard enough. And besides it seems a shame to focus on what’s missing, rather than simply enjoying what’s already there.

Anyway, I’m celebrating. It was seven years ago today that I upload my first photograph to Flickr under the name of Candy Pop. So, Happy 7th Birthday Candy Pop!

I hope you’re having a wonderfully colourful June, and I’ll see you over on Instagram. Have a lovely weekend.

I can see why it's your favourite – just stunning and lilac seems to be one of my favourite colours at the moment too. What a fab couple of months you've had. Here's to Candy Pop, happy birthday! xx
