If you’re reading this then you’ve successfully landed on Candy Pop version 4 – welcome!
After years of deliberation I’ve finally made the leap from Google Blogger to self-hosted WordPress, and it feels great! I’m amazed at how sophisticated WordPress is, and after many years of blogging it all feels very new again. I’ll always love Google Blogger – who reliably hosted my blog for more than five years – but it was time to change.
So this weekend I moved my 373 Candy Pop posts, tidied the HTML, pointed candypop.uk.com to my shiny new blog and waited… Then two hours later, as if by magic, new Candy Pop appeared.
I hope the site is easier to use and old posts are simpler to find. A revamp was the perfect opportunity to dust off the archives and revisit the blog’s current themes: simple living, interiors and adventures. Not a far cry from vintage collecting, interiors and adventures, which is where it all began in 2008. Do let me know if you spot anything that isn’t working and I’ll sort it out as soon as I can.
While I have your attention I just want to let you know I’ve been shortlisted for an Amara Blog Award. Candy Pop has been entered into the ‘best colour inspiration blog’ category, how exciting! I’m up against some blogging superstars and so I’d be honoured to have your vote.
As always THANK YOU for your visits, comments and continued support. You really do make the internet a fun place to be.
