DECEMBER

Happy December and welcome to the final month of A Year of Moments, an inspiring collaboration with the lovely Jeska of Lobster & Swan.

December is a magical month and so we’d love you to share your festive images with us. One of the things I enjoy about Instagram is seeing how people decorate their homes and spend their holidays, and so I’m really looking forward to the coming weeks. To join in all you need to do is upload your photograph to Instagram including the hashtag (ayearofmoments_festive) and mine and Jeska’s user names, and we will share a few favourites on Christmas Eve. Don’t forget to include lots of festive emojis!

For my image (above) I decided to share a few festive goodies on a pale pink background. The sweet plywood reindeer came from The Design Museum and I actually kept them on display all year long. I, therefore, can’t criticise anyone for putting their Christmas decorations up in November! Jeska’s sweet image (below) combines snowflakes, stars and berries to make up a cosy and delightful winter scene. I especially love the lace used to represent a blanket of fallen snow.

Thank you for the beautiful images you shared during November as always we were completely inspired and here are a few favourites. Clockwise from top left: heatheryounguk, tryingforsighs, lewesmap, nina_nixon, small_acorns, circleofpines, byvanessaleigh, oldfashionedsus and centre geoffreyandgrace.

2015 has been a great year and working on A Year of Moments has certainly kept me on my toes! It’s lovely to look back at the twelve images which now represent a visual diary of 2015.

What a beautiful selection of photos – especially the pink theme of your December image – and I love how different your photos are to Jeska from Lobster & Swan’s.
