Happy List

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Hello, and welcome to 2016, I hope you had a wonderful New Year’s Eve and the hangover isn’t too harsh. I’m not one for reinventing the wheel or for setting myself unkind or unachievable new year resolutions. I believe life should be simple and if we focus on the basics everything else should fall into place, well that’s the plan anyway! With this in mind I’m not setting myself any goals but simply updating my new year list of 2014. It includes all the things I try to focus on and for the most part, it keeps me out of mischief.

Be present
Laugh, lots
Cherish friendships
Indulge in happy things
Buy less stuff
Stress less, relax more
Exercise at least twice a week
Internet, less
Forgive
Don’t compare
Give stuff to charity
Watch more films
Be silly
Embrace getting older
Ignore negativity
Enjoy every day, even grey Mondays
Be brave
Follow my heart
Indulge in day trips, holidays and adventures
Practice daily mediation
Never regret
Learn to say no
And also to say yes
Love lots
Be kind, to myself and others
Try new things
Eat, better
Save pennies for a rainy day
Don’t look back
And don’t stress about the future
Buy more new music
Have fresh flowers around my home
Let go of worry
Push back
Always be positive
Embrace creativity
Be different
Work hard
Take time out

A HAPPY JAR

During 2016 I plan to jot down my joyful moments and pop them in a jar with a view to having a collection of happy memories and achievements at the end of the year. So why not join me and together we can celebrate all the little successes to help make ourselves feel fabulous! Here’s to a blissful, content, happy and healthy new year.

And finally, a big thank you to everyone who entered my Christmas luxury goodie bag giveaway. The winner is Alison Sinclair – congratulations!
