Snapshots of April 2016

13th May 2016

April 2016

1. Spending a delightfully sunny day in Bristol. 2. Enjoying a slow and calm Saturday at home. 3. Blooming lovely blossom in Cowley. 4. My man gave me books instead of Easter eggs (Big Magic: Creative Living Beyond Fear and Essentialism: The Disciplined Pursuit of Less). 5. What are minimalism and simple living? 6. Happy colours and joyful things for April. 7. It would be an Insta-crime to pass some flowers in a wood crate and not take a photograph. 8. Bluebells, Breton stripes and a plastic camera, these are a few of my favourite things. 9. The last stop on the Oxford Instameet was the pretty terrace at the Turl Street Kitchen.

April 2016

1. A cosy corner of my living room. 2. Evening light in my bedroom. 3. The Bristol blues. 4. Enjoying a little peace and tranquility in Kent. 5. Sharing a few photographs of my home office. 6. Making new friends and taking too many photos at the Clifton Photo Walk. 7. The inspiration and joy of creative friendships. 8. A relaxing Sunday stroll with my favourite flowers. 9. Sharing my weekend on the Laura Ashley Instagram account.

April 2016

1. The lovely Lottie of Oyster and Pearl in the magazine and stationery shop that dreams are made of. 2. The fresh scent of linen and jasmine. 3. Don’t you just hate it when that happens? 4. Another snap from my Laura Ashley Instagram takeover. 5. Pretty pastels to cheer up a day of snow showers. 6. Sharing how 12 busy creatives like to relax and unwind. 7. A trip to Objects of Use is always a delight. 8. Tea and a good book. 9. Exploring the never ending vintage shops of Lewis.

April was all about bluebells, beaches, reading and catching up with friends old and new. I had a terrific time at the Oxford Instameet and the Clifton Photo Walk and I also attended the Independent Oxford networking evening, where I met a whole host of local entrepreneurs. There’s so much great stuff happening in Oxford right now and the next Oxford Instameet is on Saturday 9 July if you’re free and fancy coming along.

I was thrilled to have my home featured on the Houzz blog and I’ve enjoyed welcoming a few new visitors to Candy Pop, hello! I’ve also been using Snapchat (username: candypop.uk) and I’m even building a mailing list, feel free to sign up!

I hope you had a beautiful month and May is cuter than a fluffy kitten. For my onward journey, I’ll see you over on Instagram. Have a gorgeous day.

Absolutely gorgeous! How pretty are those bluebells. I haven’t managed to get out and taken any bluebell field photos at all (on my photography bucket list).
