3 Simple Ways to Style Your Houseplants

FOR THE LOVE OF HOUSEPLANTS

I love houseplants because I enjoy seeing things grow and being surrounded by greenery. I also find they bring life to a room and cheer any areas that lack personality. After all is there anything more charming than a cute little cactus? So, today I’m sharing three simple and easy ways to style your houseplants.

SHELF DISPLAY

Small shelves are great for displaying your favourite things. They’re also perfect for creating displays to reflect the month or season. Placing a few small houseplants on a shelf will give it interest, especially if you include a trailing plant or two.

TABLE COLLECTION

A collection of houseplants looks great on a small table or in the centre of a large one. Plants work well if they’re the same type and it’s fun to see the different heights, shapes and sizes. My small but perfectly formed succulent collection never fails to make me smile!

ON A PEDESTAL

I like to use books as pedestals to display things because it gives them a little height and purpose. So, why not collect together a few books or magazines and pop a couple of your favourite plants on top for a quick and easy display.

GREEN FINGERS

This post was inspired by the Urban Jungle Bloggers’ challenge to style one plant in three ways – you may have spotted the reappearing succulent. There’s a whole lot more plant inspiration on Urban Jungle Bloggers, run by Igor and Judith.

I hope you have a fabulously leafy week and may your succulents be plump and your cacti prickly!

This is so handy! I love a bit of green around the house, but I have to admit I struggle with knowing how to style them, sometimes. I’m really keen to get some cascading-type Ivy around somewhere!

I really need to get more plants in the house. I’m actually really bad at keeping them for some reason, which is hilarious because I’m pretty good with the garden!

I love these three tips and I am a huge fan of bring nature into the home! I used to do a lot of table displays but having a 16month old baby stomping around everywhere we have had to place everything out of reach.

I love the use of light hardwood flooring in a home! Is that a Bambi POP Vinyl though?? Do you have any tips of keeping succulents alive indoors?
