MINIMALIST WARDROBE UPDATE BY BODEN
It’s nearly the end of August. Before you can say autumn leaves it will be September, the children will be back in school and I’ll have the swimming pool to myself again. Yay!
August has been a strange month. On two occasions, I left my apartment in the pouring rain and returned home sunburnt. Sun cream is my new handbag essential. Along with an umbrella and sunglasses.
With such unpredictable seasons, I like to invest in versatile clothes. After all, who knows how the day will pan out. I love classic pieces and I find investing in basics serves me well. I prefer clothes that can be dressed up or down or layered according to the weather conditions. And I dislike saving things for best because I feel every day should be treated as a special occasion!
My wardrobe is mostly blue, grey, black and white with a few pops of colour. This makes it easy to mix and match – even when I’m half asleep in the morning! And with a minimalist wardrobe, I keep everything out all year round. You can read more about how to create a minimalist wardrobe here: how to simplify your wardrobe in four easy steps.
Here are a few transitional pieces I spotted at Boden. Because as you know I’m a huge fan and I can’t resist a few spots and Breton stripes. Not to mention a bit of gold.
I hope the glorious sunshine stays with us for a little longer and you have a gorgeous bank holiday weekend.
