MINDFULNESS, SPRING BLOOMS AND MAKING NEW FRIENDS
With pink blossom, the clock change and a new season, March was an exciting month. I love this time of year and so I’ve been embracing the fresh air and beautiful blooms.
My motivation this month was to work towards my goals. But with so much noise and activity it’s been tricky to remain focused. I always remind myself to stick to my own path, even if my ego wants to say yes to every opportunity that lands in my inbox!
I’ve been continuing to meet local freelancers. It’s been beneficial to connect with people who understand the ups and downs of being self-employed. Not to mention having a few friends to enjoy a cuppa and a slice of cake with. I’m forever grateful for the relationships I’ve built online, but nothing beats chatting to people in the real world.
I’m currently on week three of the mindfulness meditation programme created by Mark Williams and Danny Penman. I’d spent two years using the Headspace app and I think it had become too familiar. It has certainly been interesting to try a few new techniques. I can thoroughly recommend the book to anyone wishing to find a little peace in this busy world.
